Trout Tournament Results
December 9, 2006

1st Place - Bryan Lee
Trout fishing has been an extremely tough occupation at Lake Jocassee over the past couple of months. This is typical for this time of year due to temperature changes and spawning. Essentially, the Trout move from the deep water around the dam and into the shallows of the rivers. After the spawn is completed and the temperatures stabilize, the fishing will turn back on. In our Dec. 9 tournament, we had 55 entries and there were four fish caught and brought to the scales. Bryan Lee won the event with a 4.75 Brown and took home $503. Bryan and his fishing buddy, Lee Sakovich have teamed up to win four tournaments over the past several years. Their chant for the 2006 season was “the drive for five”. They have already met their goal. The big fish pot is up to $765 and growing. The next tournament is Jan 13.
